Any product that wants to obtainFor Kosher certification, OK Kosher requires a comprehensive assessment to determine if a product meets Kosher standards. By submitting the complete recipes for all products—including a complete list of all specific ingredients used in each product—OK Kosher creates and maintains a complete ingredient and product list for the applicant. The data assessment includes:

one.Formula details

Each submitted formula must include a detailed and specific list outlining the details of every single ingredient in the product. This includes, but is not limited to, any internal formulas, i.e., those formulated by the applicant itself.Mixtures or sub-formulations (not purchased as finished products), and any processing aids. OK Kosher does not require any specific dosage or percentage information of ingredients.

twoIngredients List

1. Ingredient Name

An ingredient may often have two names.—The names given by the manufacturer to ingredients that appear on the ingredient label, and names given by factory personnel, R&D departments, etc., for internal reference. For example, factory personnel might refer to what the manufacturer calls "corn syrup" as "sweetener." Both names must be submitted when applying for kosher certification. OK Kosher's cutting-edge database system supports both ingredient names for increased flexibility. If the applicant uses Raw Material Codes (RMCs), these should also be submitted for better tracking and maintenance of the company's kosher program integrity.

2. Manufacturer Information

When submitting the supplier or manufacturer's name, please use the name printed on the ingredient label, which should match the name on its kosher certificate.

3. Source of ingredients

If there are multiple sources for a specific ingredient, each supplier needs to be reviewed and approved.

threeKosher certification

Today, there are many kosher organizations around the world, and as with any product or service, the degree to which different organizations adhere to kosher standards may vary.OK Kosher prides itself on maintaining the highest possible standards, a guarantee it provides to applicants' customers and end-user kosher consumers. Therefore, in certain situations, OK Kosher may reject kosher certification applications for specific products. If a product's current certification is unacceptable, or if kosher information is unavailable, OK Kosher will attempt to provide the applicant with a list of acceptable alternative sources based on information in its database.

When submitting an application for kosher certification, applicants should provide the following information as required.:

1. Please specify the ingredient name, which should match the name shown on the kosher certificate and include the name of the certifying body.

2. Provide clear and readable copies.

3. Ensure the certificate is valid and not expired.

4. Mark an arrow next to the item you are submitting. OK, Kosher needs to know exactly which item you are applying for. Some Kosher certificates may list many items, as shown in the Kosher certification sample 2 below.

5. If RMC is used, please fill in the corresponding code next to the project.

6. If you do not have a kosher certification letter, please indicate this so that OK Kosher can provide you with further advice.

7. Some raw materials may be certified both on the label and as bulk products. Bulk refers to goods transported by tanker, train, ISO tank, etc. Please ensure that the product condition covered by the submitted kosher certificate matches the packaging form you actually receive.

A detailed application form is available from Jacob's Star.

FourFinished Product List and Labels

All finished product labels must conform to the kosher certification issued to the applicant. For this reason,OK, Kosher requests a detailed list of all finished products and samples of all labels (if available at this stage). If labels are not yet available, only the product list needs to be sent at this stage. Labels must be reviewed and pre-approved once they are available.

1. The OK Kosher logo should be placed on or near the product name and should be clearly visible on the label.

2. You may enlarge or reduce the logo proportionally, but not otherwise. The OK Kosher logo on the product should be as large as possible, typically exceeding 10 mm in width if space permits. Smaller sizes of the OK Kosher logo are permitted, but the logo must be clearly legible when displayed on the product. In exceptional circumstances where the product size does not allow for this, the applicant may request authorization for a "small variant version" of the logo, which can be obtained from Jacob's Star.

3. Acceptable colors for the logo include black, blue, red, gold, or silver.

4. If the applicant wishes to include text containing the OK Kosher logo, it must submit it for prior approval.

5. Printing the OK Kosher logo on unauthorized labels or stamps constitutes trademark infringement. If the applicant needs to print labels (due to printing errors or the absence of relevant symbols), the labels must include the product name, company name, and location information, and must be permanently affixed. Labels must be approved by Jacob's Star before printing can commence.

6. Applicants may consult Jacob Star to determine the type of symbol that should be displayed on their retail or industrial certified products. This will avoid errors or misunderstandings that could cause consumer confusion, product recalls, or require public notification through the media.
