From 30 August to 1 September 2019, the 10th China (Guangzhou) International Health Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the 'Health Expo') was grandly held and successfully concluded in Zone C of the Guangzhou Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center.
This event was jointly hosted by the Guangdong Food Circulation Association and Guangzhou Zhenwei International Exhibition Co., Ltd. It was a reform attempt and practical implementation in response to the State Council Food Safety Office's 'Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Deepening Reform and Strengthening Food Safety Work.'
As one of the fastest-growing emerging industries in the world, the health industry reached a scale of RMB 7.01 trillion in China in 2018. By 2020, the total scale of China's health industry will reach more than RMB 8 trillion, and by 2030 it will reach RMB 16 trillion. As China's population ages, 'health' consumption has become a mainstream consumption trend, and the big health industry is becoming an important business format in advancing the 'Healthy China' strategy, having entered a fast track of development, with huge development space in the health industry market.
This Health Expo attracted health-industry professionals from all over the country to gather in Guangzhou. Nearly a thousand well-known domestic and international enterprises, including Beijing Tong Ren Tang, Zhongfang General, Tianmei Bio, Tiansui Bio, Henian Tang, Wannaote, Zizai Space, Weixin Bio, Hongkangyang, Zhongke Pharmaceutical, Aipushi, Funengda, Suowuyou, Yunfu Hydrogen Energy Town, Dadi Yuquan, Zhizhen Bio, Chuanghui, China-Korea Daewoo, Nano Barber, Pinghengtai and Belikai, enthusiastically participated. The Malaysia delegation, Chengdu delegation and Haixi Prefecture delegation gathered in force, showcasing new cutting-edge forces of the industry and presenting all buyers and visitors with a prosperous, in-depth, pragmatic and efficient industry event.

On 18 December 2018, the government released the GB/T 37029-2018 'Food Traceability Information Recording Requirements' standard document, which specifies the traceability information recording requirements involved in the production, logistics and sales of industrially produced, pre-packaged, sellable food. This standard applies to food safety traceability and took effect on 1 July 2019.
