What is HFC?

HFC (Halal Foundation Center) brings together over two decades of Halal-certification experience from practitioners in China and abroad, providing systematic Halal consulting, internal-auditor and production-system training, on-site Halal audits, and international Halal supply-chain setup for food, pharmaceutical, consumer-goods, deep-processing, and complex meat-source manufacturers. HFC understands the different Halal frameworks across Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Gulf, and is one of the few bodies able to certify complex products such as meat products, slaughterhouses, and gelatin.

SINOQUAL and HFC

SINOQUAL is HFC's China general agent, delivering a process-driven, personalized service so clients are supported throughout certification and the certificate's validity. Audit rules are transparent and uniform, and the two sides cooperate in good faith once materials pass review.

The process

1. Submit application materials (application form, product label, process flow chart, business license and other qualifications); after initial review they go to the body. 2. The body reviews the application and qualification documents. 3. Once approved, an electronic contract is issued and the company pays. 4. Audit is scheduled (document & on-site review, Halal production & knowledge training, Halal audit assessment). 5. After a passing audit, the certificate is issued and mailed.

What the audit covers

· Whether the ingredients on the application match those in the warehouse; · Whether equipment condition and production process comply with Halal rules; · If ingredients for non-Halal products exist, they must be isolated from Halal products with no cross-contamination.
