Hunan (Changsha) International Halal Food Industrial Park Promotion and Matchmaking Meeting Held

Recently, the 'Hunan (Changsha) International Halal Food Industrial Park' promotion and matchmaking meeting, hosted by the Hunan Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Changsha Municipal Government and the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee, was held in Xining, Qinghai. Zhang Wei, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, attended and delivered a speech, and Dai Zhongya, Director of the Ningxiang Economic Development Zone Management Committee, gave a thematic presentation on the Hunan (Changsha) International Halal Food Industrial Park. Udon Wongwiwatchai, Permanent Deputy Minister of Industry of Thailand, attended the event.

At the meeting, the Ningxiang Economic Development Zone signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Hunan Council for the Promotion of International Trade to jointly build the Hunan (Changsha) International Halal Food Industrial Park, signed strategic cooperation agreements respectively with the Malaysia-China Muslim Chamber of Commerce, the Qinghai Haidong Industrial Park and others, signed a cooperation agreement with the Qinghai (Hunan) Chamber of Commerce, and signed regional cooperation agreements with Gannan Prefecture in Gansu, Shanshan County in Xinjiang and Yunlong County in Yunnan.

The 'Hunan (Changsha) International Halal Food Industrial Park' project will build an internationalized Halal food park according to a 'one hall, four zones' functional layout, including five major functional sectors: a Halal food culture exhibition hall, a Halal food production and processing zone, a Halal food display and trade zone, a Halal food warehousing and logistics zone, and a Halal life service zone.

To effectively break through the bottleneck of Halal food development, the Ningxiang Economic Development Zone joined hands with the international Halal certification professional service platform Hong Kong Dajia International Group, aiming to leverage globally highly recognized Halal certification to establish a Halal food alliance. At the same time, the park is actively guiding food enterprises to seize new development opportunities, with enterprises such as Hunan Tea Group and Hunan Grain Group emerging as willing to accelerate Halal certification in the traditional food sector.

'In the next step, the park will carry out strategic cooperation with northwestern provinces, launch the establishment of a Hunan branch center for Halal certification and the work of joining the Halal standards alliance; carry out labor export cooperation for Muslim workers and establish a Halal talent training center; and rely on the park's "Hunan Products Going Out of Hunan" trade platform, the Changsha Daheying Agricultural Products Logistics Center, the park's integrated e-commerce platform and the hundred-billion distributor alliance to achieve resource aggregation and optimization of supporting facilities,' said Dai Zhongya.
