Global Halal Economy Industry

2025-05-15
According to population projections from the Pew Research Center, the world's Muslim population is expected to grow to 2.2 billion by 2030, with the Asia-Pacific region accounting for 59.2%, or 1.3 billion.

With the increase in population, the global halal industry is growing exponentially. As Muslims and non-Muslims become more aware of and accept the concept of halal, this is good news for industries such as food and beverages, clothing and apparel, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, media and entertainment, tourism and finance.
The State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2018/19, published by the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre in partnership with Thomson Reuters, estimates that global Muslim spending on food and beverages alone will reach $1.9 trillion by 2023.

HalalCertification has broad prospects

Entering the global halal market not only marks a solid step forward in a company's globalization strategy, but also signifies its in-depth development into overseas markets with an international perspective. Halal certification also allows companies to achieve significant returns with relatively small investments. Over 800 million halal consumers in neighboring countries of China seek halal-certified products daily. With the growing spending power of halal consumers, coupled with economic globalization and increasing international interdependence, my country's halal certification market has grown steadily year by year. Halal certification has now become a must-have certification in the food and beverage industry.
