Rice wine refers to a sweet, golden-yellow liquor made from the fermentation of freshly steamed glutinous rice. The most famous rice wines in Japan are sake and mirin. Although most rice wines have a low alcohol content, they are also classified as alcoholic beverages and therefore not suitable for Halal consumers.(Non-Halal)。
