The Malaysian Chamber of Commerce encourages halal entrepreneurs to further explore the international halal market

2025-05-15

The Malaysian Chamber of Commerce recently stated that they firmly believe that halal products hold huge business opportunities in the global market and that domestic halal entrepreneurs should actively export halal products.

The Chamber's secretary-general, Mohammad Sahar Mat Din, said: "The world's 1.7 billion Muslims need halal products. Malaysian halal entrepreneurs should seize the opportunity, actively export and make their businesses internationally renowned." He called on entrepreneurs to rise to the challenge and build a sustainable halal business alliance to help establish and prosper the halal product supply chain.

After the chamber’s annual general meeting, Mohammad Sahar told reporters that the Halal Hub was established in Padang Besar due to its strategic location in the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle, and as part of the Northern Economic Corridor. Padang Besar is the last stop on the Malaysia Railway to Thailand, located on the northeastern border of Perlis. It is one of the important land ports between Thailand and Malaysia, and the international express train to Bangkok departs from here.

Mohammad Sahar called on halal entrepreneurs not to be bystanders in Perlis but to actively participate in the great development that is happening right under their noses.

Jacob's Star Comment: I hope that Chinese food entrepreneurs can also seize the opportunity, catch the same train, and let their products rise in the halal market.
