Unfortunately, some of the products they sell are certified kosher in sealed containers at the factory, but are not actually stored there. Simply asking a store attendant if an item is kosher isn't enough, as they may not be aware of the specific requirements that affect the item's kosher status. It's important to verify that the actual product is in its original sealed container and that the product in the container or soft-serve ice cream machine is the same product you see in the original factory box, not a "kosher box."
