MUIS Halal Certification Program Types

Currently, Muis offers seven Halal certification schemes to suit various categories in the food and food-related industries. They are:
Eating Place Plan
Issued to retail food establishments such as restaurants, school canteens, snack bars, halal food shops, confectionery shops, bakeries, stalls in food courts or similar establishments and temporary stalls in bazaars, flea markets, trade fairs, etc.
Licensing Program
Approved for import, export or re-export of products that have been issued with Halal certificates
Food Preparation Area Plan
Issued to catering establishments and central kitchen facilities
Poultry Slaughterhouse Program
Newly slaughtered poultry issued to poultry slaughterhouses
Product (PRO) Plan
Products approved to be manufactured or partially manufactured/processed in Singapore
Warehousing facility planning
Approval of fixed and mobile storage facilities such as warehouses and cold rooms
Plant-wide plan
Approval of manufacturing facilities and all products manufactured therein
