The procedure for obtaining Halal certification is relatively simple. After receiving your Halal certification application, SINOQUAL's Halal certifiers will assess your company's products and their ingredients. A contract will then be drafted, detailing both parties' requirements and obligations for achieving and maintaining the highest Halal standards. After the contract is signed and executed, we will assign inspectors from the Halal certification body who are familiar with the food industry to regularly visit the factory, checking products, ingredients, labels and so on to verify that the contract terms are strictly observed.

Ingredients:

All ingredients in the factory, whether or not used in Halal-certified products, must be thoroughly assessed for whether they affect Halal products. Products not applying for Halal certification being produced on the same equipment as Halal-certified products will affect the Halal nature of the Halal-certified products, so they must be thoroughly identified to ensure the Halal nature is not affected.

Production process:

Auditing and analyzing production details is always necessary during Halal certification. If non-Halal raw materials are processed on the equipment, auditing the production details is crucial. Therefore, in ensuring the factory meets Halal standards, it is important to determine the heating equipment used (such as steam heating), the transport methods of ingredients and raw and auxiliary materials (such as conveyor belts or pipes?), and even the packaging procedures—all of which may affect the Halal nature.

Products:

When a factory is granted a Halal certificate, it is also granted the Halal certification mark that can be printed on the product's outer packaging. Every Halal-certified product must clearly bear the Halal certification mark on its outer packaging, and the outer packaging of products not granted certification is prohibited from printing the Halal mark. It is also crucial for the factory to always check its list of Halal-certified products to ensure that products printing the Halal certification mark are all on the Halal-certified product list.

In addition, new ingredients must not be used in the factory without the permission of the Halal certification body. If new ingredients are used without permission, it may affect the factory's Halal-certified products, threatening the Halal status of the products. Therefore, if a factory needs to add new ingredients for production (whether or not used in Halal-certified products), it must apply to the Halal certification body in advance, and may use them normally only after the body's approval.
