Although it is a Buddhist country with Muslims making up only 8% of its population, the Thai government, committed to the Halal industry, held the three-day annual Thailand Halal Assembly 2019 from 20 to 22 December 2019.
It was sponsored by the Halal Science Center of Chulalongkorn University and the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT).
In addition to the conference and exhibition held in the main hall, sessions were held by field at each venue, and we attended a session that brought together Halal certification organizations from around the world.
Discussions on Halal certification issues were held globally every day; besides government Halal certification bodies, government Halal certification bodies of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the Philippines and others also attended.
Special attention was paid to the future trends of national certification bodies and the integration of non-governmental Halal certification bodies worldwide.
Mutual recognition with Thailand
Our Halal certification body reached a mutual recognition agreement with the Thai certification body, covering the following facts: with our certification, there is no problem exporting Halal products to the Kingdom of Thailand, sharing common resources and information, and always maintaining a cooperative relationship.
