Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, the leader of the global Halal industry, expressed at the WORLD HALAL WEEK 2018 forum its vision to lead the global Halal industry chain and drive this process, planning to synchronize Halal certification procedures and establish an international authority board.
Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Malaysia is committed to strengthening business facilitation and positioning Malaysia as the international reference center for the global Halal industry.
'We are committed to a competitive Halal industry that constantly innovates, producing products and services that are not only suitable for industrial needs but, more importantly, follow the principle of HALALAN TOYYIBAN' (permitted for use or consumption according to Syariah standards).
As the leader of the global Halal industry, Malaysia has developed a major global plan through the Malaysia Halal Council, one of which is the establishment of an International Halal Authority.
'We intend to bring together Halal authorities from around the world to realize the procedures involved in Halal certification.'
