China: Silk Road Economic Belt and Halal Industry Seminar

The Silk Road Economic Belt and Halal Science Research and Technology Industry Seminar was held in Lanzhou on November 22. At the meeting, experts discussed the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and research on development measures in the Halal industry chain, centered on the theme of 'How to create an international, high-end, integrated Halal industry chain.'

The meeting was hosted by the Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Commerce. Eight experts, including Li Lianda from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the seminar and spoke on how Halal products can promote the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

Our province has long paid attention to the development of the Halal food industry and published the 'Gansu Halal Food Management Regulations,' thereby establishing the Gansu Halal Food Management Office and the Gansu Halal Food Industry Association. There are now 10,343 Halal product and management enterprises and 7,229 individual industrial and commercial households and commercial advertisements.
