OK Kosher and Los Angeles' Kehilla Kosher announced that they have decided to merge the two organizations on Thursday.
The merger agreement was approved by the respective boards of directors and was supported by Kehilla Kosher's rabbinical advisory committee.
Kehilla Kosher said they hope that through the merger they can further expand their business scope and services in retail Kashrus in Los Angeles, throughout the region and beyond.
OK Kosher has extremely high authority and recognition throughout the Kosher food certification industry, is a leading body in the industry, and provides certification services to enterprises worldwide. Headquartered in New York with offices around the world, it is managed by Rabbi Don Levy, with a team of more than 300 highly qualified Kosher experts, to ensure that the certificates issued meet the highest standards of Jewish certification.
Through joint effort and cooperation, the strength of the merged body will be far greater than the sum of the two former bodies. Through this merger, OK Kosher will be the most leading and high-end body on the West Coast, while reinforcing OK Kosher's sense of mission to spread Kashrus around the world.
