About the KGC Kosher Rabbi
Rabbi Eliyahu Rozenberg was born in Petach Tikvah, Israel, to Jacob and Beila Rozenberg. He grew up in Bnei Brak and studied at the local Lubavitch school, later continuing his studies at the Tomchei Tmimim central Talmudic school in Migdal HaEmek, Israel, and in New York, USA.
In 2004, Rabbi Rozenberg served as a teacher and educator at the Oz Meir special-education school.
Rabbi Rozenberg also serves as a rabbinic representative for Murmansk (Russia), Zhytomyr (Ukraine), Florence (Italy), Mogilev (Belarus), Miami and Florida (USA) and Caracas (Venezuela).
He received rabbinic ordination from the Chief Rabbi of Israel and was appointed as a Kosher slaughterer (shochet), scribe (sofer) and mohel by Rabbi Shimon Gad Elituv and Rabbi Yehuda Giat of Jerusalem, Rabbi David Raphael Banun of Montreal, Rabbi Yitzchak Yehuda Yeruslavsky of Kiryat Malachi, and Rabbi Chaim Raytfart of Venezuela.
Rabbi Rozenberg's wife, Pnina Ayala, is the daughter of Josef Yitzchak Lishner, the rabbi of a luxury hotel in Jerusalem and the Mamilla Jerusalem Hotel.
Rabbi Rozenberg is currently the chief rabbi of Guangzhou, China. As chief rabbi, he has established a congregation combining daily prayer, Torah study, Kosher food, a kindergarten, a Jewish school, a bar/bat mitzvah club and marriage counseling, and has provided separate mikvahs (ritual baths) for men and women.
The Kosher certification body founded by Rabbi Rozenberg has established partnerships with several other organizations in Israel and abroad. He currently meets the Kosher needs of the local Jewish community in Guangzhou and across China by providing special Kosher products and Kosher meat.
