Meanwhile, Muhammad Cholil Nafis, head of the executive body of Indonesia's National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), also stressed the need to maintain a consistent pace in halal product assurance work. “This event has deepened our mutual understanding. We will jointly safeguard the certification of halal products circulating in the market. He further noted that the moment of breaking the fast together (buka puasa bersama) symbolizes the importance of unity among the elements of the halal ecosystem as they carry out their mission and mandate to the public. “This iftar means that we must move in the same direction and at the same pace — one policy, one step. Let us stay cohesive and aligned not only in halal certification work, but also in safeguarding the mandate and trust placed in us by the public,” he continued.
After the event, Muti Arintawati, CEO of Indonesia's halal inspection body LPPOM, expressed hope that the meeting could further strengthen cooperation between BPJPH and the halal inspection bodies.
