In November 2016, Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) launched the Food Manufacturing Industry Transformation Map (ITM), aiming to develop Singapore into a leading food and nutrition hub in Asia with globally competitive food companies. Halal food has been identified by MTI as one of the potential growth areas, and may become a new product extension enabling food manufacturers to compete better on the global stage and ride the wave of the booming halal industry.
In light of the development and opportunities in the halal industry, the Muis Halal Certification Strategic Unit (Muis HCSU) and Warees Halal are pleased to launch the 'Halal Advisory Unit.' This unit aims to promote and provide information and guidance to existing and new halal certificate holders, or pre-application organizations considering halal certification, through direct interaction with our halal advisers. It comprises three parts: Halal application, licensing, and Halal training.
Contacting the 'Halal Advisory Unit' requires registration. Participation is free, on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful registration will receive a confirmation email before the halal advisory session begins.
