PT Sucofindo (Persero), established in 1956, is one of Indonesia''s oldest state-owned inspection, testing and certification companies, part of the national-asset system (Danantara / IDSurvey). Within Indonesia''s Halal assurance system, Sucofindo is designated by BPJPH as a Halal Inspection Body (LPH, Lembaga Pemeriksa Halal), responsible for on-site Halal inspection and testing. To be precise: in Indonesia''s Halal chain, BPJPH is the issuing authority, the LPH performs on-site inspection, and MUI issues the Halal ruling — the three work in a division of labour.
