A leading Chinese condiment manufacturer partnered with SINOQUAL to secure Indonesia's mandatory BPJPH Halal certificati…
SINOQUAL recently reported another success: drawing on two decades of international certification service experience, it helped the large listed seasoning-food company Jiajia Food Group Co., Ltd. ("Jiajia Food") pass Indonesia's official BPJPH Halal audit and formally obtain the legal passport into Southeast Asia's largest Muslim market.
For Jiajia Food, this certificate is worth far more than a mere qualification. As the country with the world's largest Muslim population (about 87%), Indonesia's Halal market exceeded 1,200 trillion rupiah in 2024, and more than 70% of consumers prefer products carrying a Halal mark. The latest statistics put the global Halal market at over US$2 trillion; according to census data released by Indonesia's Ministry of Home Affairs in December 2020, Indonesia's total population was 271 million, of whom 241 million were Muslim, indicating enormous potential for the Halal food market. Obtaining Indonesia BPJPH Halal certification is not only a strong endorsement of Jiajia Food's product quality and production management, but also a key step toward opening the Indonesian market and expanding international business. It means Jiajia Food's products can enter Indonesia and lays a solid foundation for expanding into other Islamic markets.
Indonesia BPJPH Halal certification is known for its stringent process and detailed standards, covering raw-material traceability, production control, and warehousing and transport across the entire chain. The documentation alone requires dozens of items such as the SJPH manual, Halal material list and production traceability procedures, and even the single step of building an internal Halal management team and internal auditors deters many companies.
In this cooperation, the SINOQUAL team precisely grasped the core difficulties of certification and provided full-process customized service.
In the early stage, SINOQUAL studied Jiajia Food's production base in depth, checking workshop layout, material storage, production-line cleaning records and other easily overlooked areas against BPJPH audit standards. A bilingual team completed the translation of basic documents (application forms, no-pork-source declaration, product process flowcharts, production licenses, ISO/HACCP certificates and factory floor plans) to avoid rejection due to terminology errors. During the on-site audit, SINOQUAL accompanied the BPJPH auditor throughout the factory inspection, providing professional interpretation of key indicators such as segregated storage of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring the audit passed without objection.
Amid waves of technological and industrial change, Chinese brands are advancing toward high-quality development with a fresh outlook. With two decades of international certification service, SINOQUAL has built a one-stop compliant-export service system covering multiple categories and countries, helping Chinese products enter global markets, raising the international profile of Chinese brands and driving the upgrade of real industries such as food, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. This aligns with China's strong emphasis on brand-building and its national strategies and policies in recent years. Passing Indonesia BPJPH Halal certification is an important step in Jiajia Food's globalization strategy and a successful model for Chinese food companies going global. As the Belt and Road Initiative deepens, economic and trade ties between China and partner countries grow ever closer, and the international Halal market will become a key breakthrough for Chinese food companies going abroad, with Indonesia as one of the core destinations. SINOQUAL will continue to provide comprehensive Halal certification support to domestic enterprises, working with more high-quality Chinese companies to explore the international Halal market and help Chinese manufacturing reach the world.
