Brief Introduction of IHI Alliance
The IHI Alliance (International Halal Integrity Alliance) was created as an international not-for-profit organization to uphold the integrity of the halal market concept in global trade through the establishment of global halal standards, recognition, collaboration and membership in April 2007.

Founded in April 2007, the IHIA International Halal Integrity Alliance is an international not-for-profit organization that aims to uphold the integrity of the halal market concept in global trade through the establishment of global halal standards, recognition, collaboration and membership.

The World Halal Forum in 2006 marked the first time in history that issues affecting the halal market place were brought to light in a professional and open global arena. The forum was officiated by Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Chairman of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC).

The formation of IHI Alliance was the outcome of a resolution that was passed at the inaugural World Halal Forum in May 2006 by international delegates representing all areas of the halal market value chain from approximately 30 countries.

After developing eight pioneering global halal standards and raising awareness on the halal market concept on the international scale, the IHI Alliance ended its role as a not-for-profit entity in 2017. The eight standards developed are on Animal Feed, Animal Welfare, Slaughter and Processing, Food Services, Cosmetic and Personal Care, Muslim-Friendly Hospitality, Logistics and Laboratory Testing and Analysis for Halal.

Accreditation And Halal Lead Auditor Training Program
Professor Dr. Hj. Rafek Saleh conducted a 3-day accreditation and halal lead auditor training program from 29th June to 1st July 2019 at the Halal Foundation Center Limited office in Hong Kong. In this training program, he shared his 40 years of experience in auditing airline catering, as well as some other valuable techniques for field audit. Chief Executive Officer Hafiz Mohammad Zubair, Vice Chairman and senior auditor Hafiz Iqbal Tahir, Shariah team head Maulana Zeeshan Ali Khan from Pakistan, and HFC's auditors attended this program. It is an honour to become an alliance member of the International Halal Integrity Alliance (IHIA).
From 29 June to 1 July 2019, Professor Hj. Rafek Saleh carried out a 3-day halal certification and halal lead auditor training program at HFC (Halal Food Council). In this training program, he shared his 40 years of airline catering audit experience as well as some other valuable on-site audit techniques. HFC CEO Hafiz Mohammad Zubair, Vice President and senior auditor Hafiz Iqbal Tahir, HFC Shariah Committee head Maulana Zeeshan Ali Khan from Pakistan, and HFC's auditors attended this training. HFC was honored to receive recognition from the IHIA International Halal Integrity Alliance and become a member of the alliance.
