Indonesia Showcases Halal Products at Taiwan's International Halal Certification Expo

To promote the market for Indonesia's Halal-certified products, Indonesia's Minister of Trade will participate in Taiwan's International Halal Expo through the Indonesian Trade and Economic Office in Taipei.

The expo runs for 3 days, is hosted by Taiwan's External Trade Development Council, and is held once a year. This expo will be held on June 22-25 at the Taipei World Trade Center. It mainly exhibits food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and health and beauty products whose raw materials and production processes meet Islamic law requirements.

According to Tjahya Widayanti of the Directorate General of National Export Development, Taiwan is an important promotion center for Halal-certified products in the Asia-Pacific region.

We hope this expo can raise the image of Indonesia's Halal-certified products in the international market, especially in the Taiwan market, because Taiwan is committed to developing a competitive market for Halal-certified products.

Tjahya hopes to increase the export volume of Indonesia's Halal-certified products, keep up with the growth of global demand and especially Taiwan's demand, and take a step forward in the integration of global economic development.

Indonesia will have 12 exhibitors at this expo, with the common theme 'Trade with Remarkable Indonesia,' covering food, cosmetics and more.
