Recently, HFC (Halal Foundation Center) was honored to sign mutual recognition cooperation agreements with HALAL GREECE (the European Halal Greece Certification Center) and CEHA (the Halal Assurance Center). The signing of the mutual recognition agreements is another major breakthrough for HFC after obtaining recognition from IHIA (the International Halal Integrity Alliance). Through continuous persistence and effort, HFC is gaining ever-wider approval and recognition from more and more international organizations and bodies, while also providing more authoritative assurance for our customers.

The HALAL EUROPEAN CERTIFICATION CENTER (HALAL GREECE) is the only state-certified and accredited Halal certification body, the first and only religiously recognized Halal certification body in Greece. It is recognized by the international authority WORLD HALAL COUNCIL (WHC) and is one of the members of the WHC (http://www.worldhalalcouncil.com/members). The mark of the European Halal Greece Certification Center is highly respected and accepted by Muslim countries.

The Halal Assurance Center (CEHA) is a private limited company registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). It is a foreign Halal certification body recognized by the International Halal Integrity Alliance (IHIA) and is the exclusive national partner of Mosafer C and IHIA (https://cehalal.com/).

CeHA operates under the guidance of its board of directors and a strong Shariah advisory committee and Shariah coordinators; these advisers include more than 20 Shariah experts from around the world. The company cooperates with different Islamic seminaries, promoting Halal consumption globally by providing the expertise and services of world-renowned, experienced and capable Shariah scholars, aiming to provide the industry with complete Halal product and Halal certification solutions. CeHA brings unique relevant qualifications and experience in both the Shariah field and the technical field. CeHA's comprehensive research team, composed of qualified nutritionists, food microbiologists and technicians, makes its team stand out.

HFC Shariah Committee Chairman Maulana Zeeshan Ali attended a meeting held by the Halal Assurance Center (CeHA) at the Maisonette Hotel in Lahore, Pakistan, on November 10, 2018, aimed at reshaping the necessary conditions for meeting Halal food requirements within Pakistan according to Shariah guidelines and Pakistan's PS3733 Halal certification standard. 'This was a wonderful learning experience for me; through this meeting, we established very important connections with the HALAL industry,' Zeeshan Ali concluded. He also introduced to some organizers and participants HFC's mission of 'being committed to all our global stakeholders' adherence to Halal standards.'

HFC, the International Halal Food Center, with its Shariah professional audit team led by top Shariah authority experts (Mufti), focuses on providing systematic and comprehensive Halal certification consulting, Halal internal auditor system training, Halal production system training and Halal factory audit, and international Halal industry chain construction services for food, pharmaceutical, daily-necessity and deep-processing enterprises, as well as enterprises producing complex meat-derived products, ensuring that products reach a solid Halal standard that can withstand market scrutiny at any time.

HFC pioneered the world's first 'QR code full traceability system,' providing 24-hour mobile self-service inquiry for enterprises and their customers. By scanning the exclusive QR code on the certificate, users can instantly view the enterprise's certified product information, basic enterprise information, as well as image information of key links in the Halal production system such as raw material warehouses, production workshops, finished product warehouses, Halal internal auditor training and factory audit reports.

The transparent and open inquiry and traceability system helps consumers better identify Halal authenticity, while greatly reducing the trust cost between enterprises and the market, eliminating at the source the wishful thinking of certain enterprises forging certificates, improving enterprises' integrity and reputation in consumers' minds, and building a healthy, sustainable, mutually trusting and win-win market ecosystem for the Halal industry.
