On December 21, 2019, at the Thailand Halal Science and Technology Conference, HFC Vice President Tahir Iqbal held in-depth communication and talks with the head of the Korea Halal Authority (KHA). The two sides share common goals in conducting Halal product research and raising Halal consumption awareness among manufacturers and importers of Halal food and beverages, and finally HFC and KHA signed a mutual-recognition cooperation memorandum.
Key contents include:
1. Based on respect for Halal principles, both parties maintain and uphold the integrity of Halal products and services;
2. Share knowledge of raw materials, finished products and applied technologies;
3. Research raw materials and products and verify whether they are Halal;
4. Training and development of Halal concepts;
5. To smoothly carry out future activities, the two parties need mutual understanding and to provide assistance with services such as pickup, accommodation and boarding;
