On November 12, 2019, BPJPH (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal), Indonesia's recently established government Halal certification agency, held the First International Halal Dialogue at the Jakarta Convention Center in the capital. This was BPJPH's first public dialogue open to overseas international bodies after it took over the MUI Halal certification body.
The speeches at this public dialogue were jointly delivered by Ms. Rosmaya Hadi (Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia), Mr. Fachrul Razi (Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia) and Mr. Ihsan Ovut (Secretary-General of SMIIC).
The host of this Halal dialogue was Mr. JM Muslimin. Other speakers included:
