  3. Consensus and impartiality
Impartiality and consensus allow all stakeholders to represent their interests and be treated fairly.
  4. Effectiveness and relevance
To facilitate trade, standards must be effective and relevant, focusing on market needs and not conflicting with applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Coherence
Coherence with the development of international standards ensures that Indonesia's market does not become detached from the global market, supporting international trade.

The completeness and adequacy of the producer's quality management system documents are checked for conformity with the application requirements. If any discrepancies are found, the applicant will be required to correct them within two months.

Samples of the products to be tested are taken, labelled (LCU) and sealed, then tested. Sample testing is carried out in an accredited testing laboratory.

6. Sample evaluation

After the testing process, a test-result certificate is issued. If the results do not meet the standard, the applicant will be asked to repeat the test until compliance is achieved. If the standard cannot be met, the application is rejected.

7. Certification decision

An independent panel meets to discuss the results of the audit and the testing.

8. Submission of SPPT-SNI

After the panel meeting, the review team classifies the relevant company or producer according to the completeness of legality, the standard's clauses, the production process and the quality management system.
