cRc — Chicago Rabbinical Council Kosher Certification

The Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc) is one of North America's most influential and recognized Kosher certification bodies, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. As a non-profit organization, cRc offers a wide range of Kosher certification services and is regarded as a benchmark for US Kosher certification, widely respected and recognized worldwide. cRc's Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz was appointed in 1991 as the senior presiding judge of the Beth Din (Jewish court) in the United States.

cRc members hold important leadership positions in North American synagogues, educational institutions and Jewish communities, and work actively to build a thriving, vibrant community in the Chicago area and across the Midwest. cRc and its fellow AKO members — OU, Star-K, KOF-K, OK and KLBD — work to bring Jewish organizations worldwide together to discuss matters across the Kosher field, develop unified solutions and mutual-recognition standards, and build a global-standard Kosher certification system.
